TEOLOGI SABTU SUCI DAN SPIRITUALITAS MAHASISWA: PERSPEKTIF PENDIDIKAN IMAN KONTEMPORER

Innawati Teddywono

Abstract

This article explores Holy Saturday theology as a source for the development of student spirituality within the framework of contemporary faith education. Employing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, the study analyzes publications relevant to Holy Saturday, liminality, silence, liturgical ritual, and spiritual formation. The findings indicate that the Holy Saturday narrative can be interpreted as a liminal space that enables students to perceive experiences of uncertainty not as emptiness but as a transformative process. Silence and absence associated with Holy Saturday are understood as integral to the theological work that cultivates spiritual resilience and the capacity to endure in anticipation of hope not yet realized. Liturgical practices and collective reflection are shown to support the integration of cognitive–affective dimensions in faith learning. The article’s primary contribution lies in reframing Holy Saturday from merely a liturgical moment of silence into a pedagogical framework relevant for students amid existential crises, career uncertainties, and contemporary social dynamics. Furthermore, this study offers practical implications for faith educators while opening avenues for further research in empirical, interdisciplinary, and digital domains.
