SIGNIFIKANSI KRITIK TEKS ALKITAB DALAM MEMBANGUN INTEGRITAS HERMENEUTIKA BAGI PENDIDIKAN KRISTEN KONTEMPORER
Abstract
Criticism of the biblical text has an important role in maintaining the authenticity and validity of the Biblical text as the main basis for theological interpretation. However, in contemporary Christian educational practice, the understanding of textual criticism is often seen as a less relevant academic approach to the formation of hermeneutic faith and integrity. This study aims to analyze the significance of biblical text criticism in building hermeneutic integrity for contemporary Christian education. The method used is qualitative research with a literature study approach through the analysis of theological literature, hermeneutics, and criticism of biblical texts. The results show that textual criticism not only serves to trace the accuracy of the biblical text, but also strengthens the objectivity of interpretation, prevents theological deviation, and establishes academic and spiritual responsibility in the Christian learning process. In addition, the integration of textual criticism in Christian education helps learners understand the historical and theological context of the Bible more comprehensively, resulting in hermeneutics that are responsible and relevant to the challenges of the times. Thus, biblical text criticism has a significant contribution to establishing a solid hermeneutic integrity for contemporary Christian education as well as being an important foundation in the development of critical, contextual, and transformative theological learning.
